Outsourcing is an important outcome of the globalization process. With the growth of information technology (IT) outsourcing has attained international dimension.

In outsourcing, a company hires regular service from external sources, mostly from other countries, which was previously provided internally or from within the country.

Most of the foreign companies are outsourcing their services to India as they can be performed at a cheaper cost with reasonable degree of skill and accuracy.

India is able to take advantage of outsourcing because of qualitative and cheap labor. The main services which are been outsourced to India by the developed countries are voice-based business process known as BPO (or call centers), record keeping, accountancy, banking services, music recording, film editing, book translation, clinical advice, etc.
